Biish (Water) Falls, located in the center of the Waterpark, is fun for everyone. Even Mom and Dad will laugh when they are splashed by a giant bucket that dumps 317 gallons of water every time it tips. Here’s a secret, if you want to know when the bucket is ready to tip, listen for our giant animatronic eagle mother to call to her baby. When you hear that, take a deep breath!
Biish (Water) Falls also features four slides for guests under 52 inches tall, including:
** Please note that height requirements are established by the manufacturer of the slides. For the safety of all guests, Soaring Eagle Waterpark observes all manufacturer recommendations and guidelines.
How fast can you make the run? Otter’s Run features Slide Champ which allows you to compete to see who can make the fastest run down the slide. Drop down the slide, do a complete 360 through the bowl and shoot out into Little Beaver’s Bend. Compete against your friends and family to find out who’s the fastest slider in town! Otter’s Run isn’t our biggest slide, but it is our fastest! No tubes, just you, the water and a precarious drop into the unknown!
The Otter is an important symbol of Tribal Culture, and it represents a Clan of the Tribe. Traits of the Otter (Nigig) are playful, energetic and commitment.
Guests must be at least 48 inches tall. Per the manufacturer’s requirements, the Otter’s Run water slide may have other height and weight restrictions that apply.
** Please note that height and weight parameters are established by the slide manufacturer. Soaring Eagle Waterpark follows all manufacturer guidelines and recommendations.
Roar down three stories in a matter of seconds on Loon’s Loop. Soaring Eagle Waterpark is one of the only parks in the Midwest to feature iSlide. On Loon’s Loop you select the music and the lights that you want, it can be different every time you go down the slide. Loon’s Loop is completely enclosed with lights and sound throughout to make your ride rock even more!
Again, the name of this attraction is significant to The Tribe. In Tribal tradition, the characteristics of the Loon are maturity, practicality, and Chieftainship.
Guests must be at least 48 inches tall and ride seated in an inner tube. Per the manufacturer’s requirements, the Loon’s Loop water slide may have other height and weight restrictions that apply.

So you think you can play basketball, huh? Ever done it in the water? Gizi’s Splash and Dunk features hoops that let you give it a shot. Mom and Dad will find an elevated hot tub beside Gizi’s Splash and Dunk so they can relax while they watch all the fun.
Lifejackets are required for guests shorter than 44 inches tall. Gizi’s Splash and Dunk is handicap accessible.
Little Beaver’s Bend winds its way through Soaring Eagle Waterpark at a leisurely pace that lets your worries gently slip away. While the kids are catching big water on FlowRider, or dropping down our slides, Little Beaver’s Bend is where you’ll find most Moms and Dads.
As you float around the west side, you’ll see both of our slides empty into the river so you can see all of the action.
Here’s another park secret: as you float around Little Beaver’s Bend, look up! Around the top of the park, you’ll see the clan symbols of The Tribe, for their meaning look at the doors around the park. For instance, in Tribal tradition, the traits of the Beaver (Amik) are imaginative, family-oriented and environmentalist.
Lifejackets are required for guests shorter than 44 inches tall.
Every kid likes to climb, and it’s even better when you can drop into a seven-foot deep catch pool of warm, friendly water! Makwa’s (Bear) Mountain towers eight feet above the water and is covered in cracks, crevices, and a toe holds that lets you scale to the top and leap into the pool below. You think you’re a skilled climber? Try this wall when it’s wet!
The bear is revered in Tribal culture and its Anishinabe name is Makwa. The characteristics of Makwa are knowledge, affectionate, tolerant.
Guests must be at least 48 inches tall and good swimmers to participate. Only one climber can participate at a time.

The Waterpark and Hotel’s Matriarch, Nokomis (Grandmother), is our resident storyteller. Each night, Nokomis will share traditional stories of her youth in the Tribe that have been passed down through oral traditions that are still observed to this day. Yes, these stories are authentic and come from the elders of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian tribe and are voiced by a Tribal Elder. Nokomis is attired in a dance dress, called a Jingle Dress that was created specifically for her by elders of the tribe, her hair and hands are modeled from a Tribal Elder and she holds an authentic dance stick. As you spend time with Nokomis you will see that every stitch and every item were sewn and created by members of the tribe in accord with Tribal tradition. Fun fact: A new dress for Nokomis is currently being created, however, tradition dictates that only one jingle per day may be added to a dress. Keeping with tradition, it takes some time to create a new outfit. (By the way, dresses such as this and the brightly colored clothing worn by traditional Tribal dancers, such as seen in photos in the hotel pool, are known as regalia.)
You’ll be amazed watching the kids try to figure out if she’s real and they will come away with an introduction to Native Culture. All of us who work at the park consider Nokomis a part of the family and will wish her good morning or say hello as we walk past.
The atmosphere is considerably subdued compared to the waterpark, and everyone can enjoy themselves. Our sauna and steam room are available to hotel guests and are a relaxing stop during your stay. Please note children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult to enter the hotel pool area.
